Champions.

Everybody would love to be a winner.  Whether in school, in the office, in any area of life at all, no one would want to fail or loose. This character is inbuilt in a man by God, because a God himself is not a God who fails but bone who wins in any battle or contest. We are entering a new year again, a year that none of us has ever seen before. I guess this call for some serious thinking, with a lot of actions to back it up. Few hours from now, you will hear folks saying, “my new year resolution is……” so many reach this resolution, while some just forget about it may be few weeks into the year. 2014 is a wonderful year, and holds a lot of great promise and blessing. Now you might be asking. Kingsley how did you know? Well! I live by what I believe and not by what is in my pocket, account or what I see. So I already believe that the New Year is a great one for us all and also for our country. But most importantly, its A YEAR FOR CHAMPIONS. A champion is a winner, someone who co

Hold On...

Our experiences in life changes just like the weather conditions. At different times we are faced with either pleasurable or harrowing conditions. Sometimes we experience heat-warming success, at other times we experience heart-rending  failures. Sometimes there is much joy and laughter, at other times there is much sorrow and sighing. Sometimes we bubble with life and health, other times we are over taken by sickness. Sometimes we enjoy prosperity with plenty, other times we endure lack and hunger. A lot of persons change with their changing circumstances. When the going gets good, they are elated and highly spirited, but when they get hit by an ugly circumstance, everything goes down completely. They lose the glee and gladness they once had when everything was favorable to them.  Most Christians do same. They love and obey God, go to church and do all manner of religious activities when things are all rosy, when there are no challenges, and turn against Him when things get ro

One Father.. One Fold

I strongly believe that the last post was a blessing to you. Well, I also partake from these blessings every day of my life. As you relax your mind, I would love to share this wonderful piece with you.. oh ! I just so love it. Every line echoes deep within our hearts, making us see clearer with the eyes of love. Just read this story. Kola and Bayo were sons of a great man who had a lot of possession; he was a man of affluence.  Whenever they converged as a family, one can easily tell that love was evident in their family due to the way they shared their times and lives together. These brothers grew together in the house with nothing to lack, they grew to love each other and do things together. People around the neighborhood knew that making trouble with Bayo was the same as inviting the wrath of Kola. They were envied by all. This pleased the father because it’s the joy of every parent to see his children grow in love and peace. One fateful morning, EL (the father of the two broth

Better Together

Its so good to write again. My day was blessed. I would love to share a wonderful experience with us, believing that  it will minister to someone out there. Deborah, a young teen is an example of a committed worker in her church. She never failed to use any opportunity she has in church to serve (work) God. In as much she was a chorister, she found joy teaching children in Sunday school classes, and also helped to keep the church clean. She rendered these services with all her heart. Even when some persons opted to be paying her for these services, she turned the offer down, because she believes its her own little way of saying thank you to God for her life. This sister continued in her whole hearted service to God, until tragedy struck one day. Mike has been one of the pillars of the youth forum in that church. He started going out with Deborah. Along the line, they had sex, and the little girl became pregnant. Knowing what was already involved, they both decided to inform their

Worship... A lifestyle.

Coming across such an amazing truth, has really changed my life for good, and this truth Is what I would love to share with you. One of the greatest gift God has given us all, is our ability to enjoy pleasure. He wired us with five senses and emotions so we can experience it. God wants you and I to enjoy life instead of enduring it. We often forget that God has emotions too. He feels things very deeply, He grieves, gets jealous and angry, and feels compassion, pity, sorrow and sympathy as well as happiness, gladness and satisfaction. WHEN YOU BRING PLEASURE TO GOD, IT IS WORSHIP! Anything you do, that brings pleasure to God, is an act of worship. Worship is a universal urge, hard-wired by God into our beings-an inbuilt need to connect with God. Worship is as natural as eating and breathing. Following the existence of so many religious groups, “churches”, you may need to expand your understanding on what worship is. You may think of it as singing during church services, praying or li

LOVE.. The most important

W ao! It feels great to be alive you know. I have come to understand that the best use of life is LOVE. It is what makes life interesting. It is what helps us maintain peace in life. Love should be your priority, objective and greatest ambition. Love is not a good part of your life; it is the most important part of life. Relationships must have priority in your life above everything else. Why? Life without love is worthless. This is the reason Paul declared that even with all his spiritual gifts and giving, without love he is nothing. Often we act as if relationships are something to be squeezed into our schedule. We talk about finding time for our children or making time for people in our lives. That gives the impression that relationships are just a part of our lives along with many other tasks. But God says relationship is all about. Four to ten commandments deal with our relationship to God, while the rest deal with our relationship to people. But all ten are about relationships

When God goes Missing In Action..MIA

I really feel great writing again. Some might wonder where He has been. Sure I have been   busy, but the good news is that kingsley is back. I was reading a wonderful piece recently and I came across something wonderful which I would like to share with you all my friends. God is real, no matter how you feel. It is easy to worship God when things are going great in your life. But the circumstances are not always pleasant. How do you worship god then? What do you do when god seems a million miles away?   The deepest level of worship is praising god in spite of pain, thanking God during trial, loving him even when he seems distant. Friendships are always tested by separation and silence; you are divided by physical distance or you are unable to talk. In your friendship with God, you won’t always feel close to him. To mature your friendship, God will test it with periods of seeming separation- times when it feels as if he has abandoned or forgotten you. According to A.W. Tozer he

It must pass through the fire

We live in challenging times- no doubt about that. The church today has raised people who cannot wait on the plan of God. These Christians believe everything must be now, fast and quick. It is now the case that instead of setting the pattern for the world, the world has now set a pattern for us. Part of the things preachers say today make people believe that God is Santa Claus, and that his function is to give you whatever you want, whenever you want it and how ever you want it. This is not the truth. In other to balance the old mindset that Christians have in church ( the one in which they think that spirituality is measured by suffering and poverty), some preachers have gone to the extent in cajoling members into believing that their commitment to God is evident in the amount of wealth at their disposal. In other words, your faith is questionable if there is no naira or dollar to show for it. There is nothing wrong with prosperity at all. However, some Christians have not on

The closest Encounter

Relaxing on my bed thinking about certain news I heard, I tend to wonder why some people always think they have a right over another persons life. These persons forget that we all have individual life to live. Recently I have come to understand that life is a city we build. Some think of life as a string of events- one following another like pearls on a string. But the past remains with us and decisions made often follow us; bad decision dog our steps and haunt our mind. Life is a city with streets and structures all built by our decisions. There are beautiful parks and tree lined lanes. This is always the part of our life that we show others. It is what we want them to see. But like any city, there are dark alleys. In those place, we store the things we are ashamed of, things of embarrassment. This is where we store our regrets, doubts, fears and sins. So why judge someone else's dark alley? Those dark alleys we travel alone hoping no one will ever catch a glimpse of them, but

Meet Kingsley

My name is Kingsely Andrew Obiefule- friends call me P.K (Pastor Kingsley). The label P.K. came in the course of my two year service in my campus fellowship. I hail from the Eastern part of Nigeria, Imo State precisely. I bag a Bachelor Degree in Economics, and i am seriously single(laughing). Basketball is my game. It is fun for me and I admire its players a whole lot. When I am free, reading is what I enjoy doing. I love books- not to a fault though *smiles* I love people who are neat because I am- though not carefully neat. I love seeing things look orderly just the way they should be. People who have good dress sense tickle my fancy. Funny people take high priority on my friend list. This is because I believe that happiness is the only thing that can keep one going even if such a person is destitute of every other thing in life. I believe in God. I am a Christian. I am a writer, teacher and blogger. My blogging was inspired by my first book Triumph in the Midst of Chao
