SHOW ME YOUR FRIEND!

My dear readers, i believe you all have started the weekend in a grand style. Me too! It will interest you to know that among several other things, the people you associate with can greatly determine the extent to which you go in life. The persons you call friends can greatly determine your take in life. I know you must have heard “ show me your friends and I will tell you who you are”. This is past now, I would rather choose to say, “show me your friends and I will tell you where you are going to in life”. A minister of the gospel here in Nigeria once said, who you follow determines what follows you and the company you keep determines what accompanies you in life. No man traveling to Lagos would board a bus with as friend going to Abuja, because both of them are headed to different directions. Friends! If you have greatness in view, then you must separate from any one who isn’t headed to the same direction with you.  Don’t wait until you drown before you know that Jonah does not

LETTER TO MY TEENAGE BOY AND GIRL 2

My dear, I believe that you enjoyed the last letter I wrote to you and you have also seen how important that letter is to your future. Well, just like I told you the last time I wrote to you, I am here to complete what I started. Among many other things, I would love to remind you that you should not be confused when you see your opposite sex, behaving in differently in a relationship. Lack of understanding of the difference between a girl and a boy, makes a lot of your friends endanger their lives.  You should be able to know what the guy wants from you and you the guy should know what the girl wants from you. God created you all differently and reasons for doing this is best known to him. But I believe that God love variety and as such decided to create us all differently instead of a robot. Lifestyle is another practical reason why a lot of your friends fall in love today and fall out tomorrow. Please I would love you to learn early that you can do things that will attra

LETTER TO MY TEENAGE BOY AND GIRL

My young boy and girl, you should make it a market of your time to discover the origin of love and   friendship, because it is only a mad man who eats without seeing the face of what he or she is eating. Love and friendship comes from the most high God. He is the inventor. His intention for creating love and friendship is to help mankind. God invented love when he realized that men cannot be at peace without his love being with them. My young boy and girl, what you feel for the opposite sex is not love because love is far bigger than mere feelings. At this sensitive point in your life, think of hoe to build stronger relationship not how to make love; LOVE is created through the act of relationship. Love is developed through friendship. My little girl, permit me to also say that sex is not a form of payment for someone loving you or doing something for you. There are many of your pseudo friends whose mindset and thought is to have sex with someone that they helped throug

LET IT GO

Good morning my readers, I believe that you have been enjoying your week. Here’s a short story for you. This will cause more than a little change in someone’s life. As you read, share and comment. “A few years ago our friend Terrilynn went through a terrible tragedy when her twenty-two-year-old son was murdered at college. One of the young men who was involved in the murder was convicted and about to be sentenced. Just before the sentencing date, Terrilynn encountered the truth. Despite her grief, she came to a conviction: “if I had only one month to live, I would want to forgive everyone, including my son’s murderer.” When the time came for the ruling, the judge asked Terrilynn if she wanted to say anything to the man who was involved in her son’s murder. She stood up in the court room and read aloud the most beautiful letter of forgiveness. She looked at the young man who took her son’s life and said, “I choose to forgive you for my own healing because I see Jesus standing nex

SOMEONES VIP

Firstly I want to say a very big thank you to all my wonderful readers, those who sent me mails to encourage my works and all those who call. You all have been wonderful and I must say that you inspire me too.   I would love to share a story with us, it got me thinking and also changed something in my life so I know it’s worth sharing. “I had an experience recently that made me feel completely invisible. I flew to Nashville to surprise my son Josh at his college. When I arrived, I made my way with my printed reservation to the rental car clerk. I handed over the reservation, and the clerk said, “Oh, we are sorry, but we gave away your car”. What do you mean you gave away my car?” I replied, “I have a reservation!”  He informed me that it was CMA (Country Music Awards) week, and they were really busy with lots of important people coming through. They didn’t have any cars left, but I would get the next car that came in. he went on to say “you just picked a really wrong time to com

The Power of Two

Here’s the story of two guys. They met in high school. They connected with each other, as they later joked, because they were both misfits. Nin the gym class the two overweight boys were forced to run track and that disastrous experience likely cemented their early friendship. They both graduated high schools in the late sixties and launched themselves into…. Failure. One found himself being fired from series of jobs. The other dreamed of going to medical school and failed to get admitted twice. One was especially artistic; the other was seriously interested in helping people. Different, but similar in spirit, they began to explore a common dream. The thing was, they both loved food.  Together they took a course in food preparation, a correspondence course that cost them each a total of five dollars. Not long after that, they joined forces to open their first shop in a run-down garage. In time the little shop became very popular in their home town, and soon it was the talk of thei

Whats Really Important?

A wealthy business man from a town called Kutuba by name Ralph Tom was on his way to the big city of Zankuta for an important meeting when his car breaks down outside a small village called Zion. Ralph anxiously walks into the village and meets a man called Parlfix coming out of Sunday church. Parlfix listens to his predicament and tells him that they will help him any way they can, but he calmly explains that it’s really hard to get anything done on a Sunday in Zion. Ralph is frustrated and annoyed when he finds that the gas station is closed on Sunday and he can’t get his car repaired. He can’t stand Zion and wants to get on to his important business, yet he’s stuck there. Irritated, he refuses to eat Sunday dinner with Parlfix and his family. He refuses to sit in the front porch and relax. Finally he loses it completely and screams out, “Everybody in Zion is living in another world!” (This was true). After giving up hope of his car being repaired, he resigns himself to the fr
