SOMEONES VIP

Firstly I want to say a very big thank you to all my wonderful readers, those who sent me mails to encourage my works and all those who call. You all have been wonderful and I must say that you inspire me too.   I would love to share a story with us, it got me thinking and also changed something in my life so I know it’s worth sharing.
“I had an experience recently that made me feel completely invisible. I flew to Nashville to surprise my son Josh at his college. When I arrived, I made my way with my printed reservation to the rental car clerk. I handed over the reservation, and the clerk said, “Oh, we are sorry, but we gave away your car”.
What do you mean you gave away my car?” I replied, “I have a reservation!”  He informed me that it was CMA (Country Music Awards) week, and they were really busy with lots of important people coming through. They didn’t have any cars left, but I would get the next car that came in. he went on to say “you just picked a really wrong time to come to Nashville.” I thought, no, you just picked a bad time to give away my car.
Two hours later, I eventually managed to get a car from another company and finally got to my hotel. When I gave my reservation number to the lady behind the reception desk, she said, “we are sorry but we gave away your room” here we go again I thought. “it’s because its CMA week”, the woman said yes,  and it’s really busy by that time I really felt invisible.
In time I found another hotel, unloaded my bags, and immediately left to drive to my son’s house to surprise him. I drove up parked and walked to the front porch. There was josh sitting with a friend. When he saw me, he yelled, “wow! I can’t believe you are here”. He ran to meet me, and gave me the biggest hug. Finally I was no longer invisible. I was a VIP to my son.
There are two basic lessons the spirit of God taught me via this story. You must always know that you are important to someone.  To the world you may just be one person, but to one person you may be the world. No matter how you feel about yourself, you are always a VIP to someone. It may be a distant friend, family relation, parent, or hubby.  I really don’t know about you, but I am a VIP TO GOD. When people think you don’t matter, I would love you to remember that you are a VIP to someone somewhere.  You might be the reason why someone is smiling. You might be the inspiration behind another man’s book. You are not a waste, you are not useless and you don’t have a price tag attached to your neck. You are just a VIP to GOD. He can do anything just to see you come closer to him. You matter in Gods agenda.
Another lesson I learnt is thus; there are lot of us who have given away Gods reservation-OUR HEART, to other personalities thinking they are more important than the man who has preserved your life till now. So many have given away Gods reservation to money, men/women, career e.t.c. but the amazing truth is that in him alone can we find PEACE.
Unlike the man in the story you just read, Jesus doesn’t walk away like that, he comes back knocking until his room (your heart) is given to him. This is why He is called the GOD OF A SECOND CHANCE.  Share this with someone…..

Hold On...

Our experiences in life changes just like the weather conditions. At different times we are faced with either pleasurable or harrowing conditions. Sometimes we experience heat-warming success, at other times we experience heart-rending  failures. Sometimes there is much joy and laughter, at other times there is much sorrow and sighing. Sometimes we bubble with life and health, other times we are over taken by sickness. Sometimes we enjoy prosperity with plenty, other times we endure lack and hunger. A lot of persons change with their changing circumstances. When the going gets good, they are elated and highly spirited, but when they get hit by an ugly circumstance, everything goes down completely. They lose the glee and gladness they once had when everything was favorable to them.  Most Christians do same. They love and obey God, go to church and do all manner of religious activities when things are all rosy, when there are no challenges, and turn against Him when thin...

LETTER TO MY TEENAGE BOY AND GIRL 2

My dear, I believe that you enjoyed the last letter I wrote to you and you have also seen how important that letter is to your future. Well, just like I told you the last time I wrote to you, I am here to complete what I started. Among many other things, I would love to remind you that you should not be confused when you see your opposite sex, behaving in differently in a relationship. Lack of understanding of the difference between a girl and a boy, makes a lot of your friends endanger their lives.  You should be able to know what the guy wants from you and you the guy should know what the girl wants from you. God created you all differently and reasons for doing this is best known to him. But I believe that God love variety and as such decided to create us all differently instead of a robot. Lifestyle is another practical reason why a lot of your friends fall in love today and fall out tomorrow. Please I would love you to learn early that you can do things that will a...

YOU ARE NOT A JUNK

Myles Munroe my favorite author once shared a wonderful thought in one of his work that holds a great deal of life lesson. He said, “A sculptor works in a very interesting way, and it would be great foolishness to argue with an artist until he is finished. He said; don’t discuss anything with a painter or a sculptor until his work is completed. An artist can be very rude if you disturb him before he has accomplished what he intends to do, because he sees differently that those who are not artists. An artist can walk by the stone in your front yard and see a figure in it. He may stop by your house and beg you for a stone you have walked past many times without noticing. The dogs may have been doing stuff on it. You may even have been planning to get rid of it because it’s a nuisance. But the artist walks into your yard and sees something beautiful in that stone beyond what you can imagine. Two months later when the artist invites you to his workshop he says, “do you see that? D...
