Worship... A lifestyle.

Coming across such an amazing truth, has really changed my life for good, and this truth Is what I would love to share with you. One of the greatest gift God has given us all, is our ability to enjoy pleasure. He wired us with five senses and emotions so we can experience it. God wants you and I to enjoy life instead of enduring it. We often forget that God has emotions too. He feels things very deeply, He grieves, gets jealous and angry, and feels compassion, pity, sorrow and sympathy as well as happiness, gladness and satisfaction. WHEN YOU BRING PLEASURE TO GOD, IT IS WORSHIP!
Anything you do, that brings pleasure to God, is an act of worship. Worship is a universal urge, hard-wired by God into our beings-an inbuilt need to connect with God. Worship is as natural as eating and breathing. Following the existence of so many religious groups, “churches”, you may need to expand your understanding on what worship is. You may think of it as singing during church services, praying or listening to a sermon. You may even think of it as ceremonies, candles, and communion. Or you may think of it as healing, miracles and ecstatic experiences. Worship can include any of these elements, but worship is far more than these expressions. WORSHIP IS A LIFESTYLE.
For many people, worship is just a synonym for music. Some think of worship only during singing in church service. This is a big misunderstanding. EVERY PART OF A CHURCH SERVICE IS AN ACT OF WORSHIP. Actually, worship predates music. Adam worshiped in the garden of Eden, but music isn’t mentioned until Genesis4:21 with the birth of Jubal. IF WORSHIP WERE JUST MUSIC, THEN ALL WHO ARE NON MUSICAL COULD NEVER WORSHIP. WORSHIP IS FAR MORE THAN MUSIC.

Even worse, “worship” is often used to refer to a particular kind of music. If a song is fast or loud with brass instrument, its considered as “praise”. But if its slow and quiet and intimate, may be accompanied by guitar, that’s worship. This is a common misuse of the term worship. Worship has nothing to do with the volume, style or speed of a song. God loves all kind of songs because he invented them all- fast, slow, old, new, loud or soft. You probably don’t like it all but God does. If it is offered to God in truth and spirit, it is an act of worship.
Christians often disagree over the style of music used in worship, passionately defending their preferred style as the most biblical or God-honoring. BUT THERE IS NO BIBLICAL STYLE. There are no music notes in the bible, and we don’t even have the instruments they used in bible times. Frankly, the music style you like best says more about you than it does about God. One ethnic groups music might sound as noise to another, but you have to understand that God likes variety that’s why he made them all. There is no such thing as “Christian” music; there are only Christian lyrics. IT IS THE WORDS THAT MAKE A SONG SACRED NOT THE TUNES. THERE ARE NO SPIRITUAL TUNES. IF I PLAYED A SONG FOR YOU WITHOUT THE WORDS, YOU WOULD HAVE NO WAY OF KNOWING IF IT WERE A “CHRISTIAN” SONG.
Often times you hear Christians after a church service say, … I love the worship today, I was blessed by it. This is another misconception about worship. WORSHIP ISNT FOR OUR BENEFITS, ITS FOR GOD. When you worship, you worship to bring pleasure to God. Worship is not for you but God. Every activity can be transformed into an act of worship when you do it for the praise, glory and pleasure of God. How is it possible to do everything to the glory of God? By  doing everything as if you were doing it for jesus and by carrying on a continual conversation with him while you do it. The bible says what ever you do, do it with all your heart and passion as working for the lord, not for men.  Even work becomes worship when you dedicate it to God and perform it with an awareness of his presence.

REAL WORSHIP IS ABOUT FALLING IN LOVE WITH JESUS. SELAH.. THINK ON THIS.

Hold On...

Our experiences in life changes just like the weather conditions. At different times we are faced with either pleasurable or harrowing conditions. Sometimes we experience heat-warming success, at other times we experience heart-rending  failures. Sometimes there is much joy and laughter, at other times there is much sorrow and sighing. Sometimes we bubble with life and health, other times we are over taken by sickness. Sometimes we enjoy prosperity with plenty, other times we endure lack and hunger. A lot of persons change with their changing circumstances. When the going gets good, they are elated and highly spirited, but when they get hit by an ugly circumstance, everything goes down completely. They lose the glee and gladness they once had when everything was favorable to them.  Most Christians do same. They love and obey God, go to church and do all manner of religious activities when things are all rosy, when there are no challenges, and turn against Him when thin...

LIVING A PRODUCTIVE LIFE 2

I believe that the last post on this subject was really a blessing to you. Well, I would like to complete what has already been started. It has always been said that good things in life does not happen by themselves, rather they are made to happen. People make them to happen. This means that whatever good you desire to see in your life, it is in your power to make it happen.  When I was studying about this subject of being productive in life, I came across an amazing scripture that opened up an entirely new portal of understanding to me. Deut 30:19  I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live. After going through this scripture over and over again, it dawned on me that another important factor that would lead a man to living a productive life is DECISION-BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR WHATEVER HAPPENS IN HIS LIFE. Apart from having a vision...

SOMEONES VIP

Firstly I want to say a very big thank you to all my wonderful readers, those who sent me mails to encourage my works and all those who call. You all have been wonderful and I must say that you inspire me too.   I would love to share a story with us, it got me thinking and also changed something in my life so I know it’s worth sharing. “I had an experience recently that made me feel completely invisible. I flew to Nashville to surprise my son Josh at his college. When I arrived, I made my way with my printed reservation to the rental car clerk. I handed over the reservation, and the clerk said, “Oh, we are sorry, but we gave away your car”. What do you mean you gave away my car?” I replied, “I have a reservation!”  He informed me that it was CMA (Country Music Awards) week, and they were really busy with lots of important people coming through. They didn’t have any cars left, but I would get the next car that came in. he went on to say “you just picked a really wro...
